The Associate Director/Director, Medical Information & Communications, will report to the VP, Medical Affair and will be a critical member of the Medical Affairs team. This individual will provide integral Medical Information & Medical Communication support across Nuvation Bio’s pipeline including product launch planning and execution as well as through lifecycle management.

Build Medical Information strategy, infrastructure, and key policies at Nuvation Bio.

Serve as an active member of the Medical Affairs team, providing relevant Medical Information insights and metrics to inform the overall strategy as well as ensuring Medical Information activities are aligned with medical plans as appropriate.

Create, proactively update, and facilitate the review of Medical Information content (standard response letters, custom responses, and FAQs) for the pipeline products assuring quality data, and scientific rigor.

Collaborate with call center staff to handle inquiries, ensuring responses are timely, accurate, fair-balanced, evidence-based and in alignment with applicable guidelines, regulations, and company policies.

Manage call center inquiry escalations to ensure appropriate responses are provided in a timely manner.

Provide support in development and revision of Medical Affairs materials for the pipeline products (FAQs, slide decks, backgrounders) working in collaboration with the medical team and external vendors.

Conduct medical accuracy review and approval as part of the cross-functional Promotional Review Committee (PRC) and Medical Review Committee for pipeline products.

Provide Medical Information support as needed to cross functional teams (Medical Affairs, Field Medical, Medical Communications, Clinical Development and Operations, Commercial, Patient Advocacy, etc.).

Provide Medical Information support at scientific congresses including staffing the Medical Information booth, congress planning support, and medical material creation.

Provide support for other critical Medical Information projects as needed.

Maintain an in-depth understanding of disease states, relevant scientific and medical literature, treatment guidelines, and competitive landscape.

Critically evaluate literature, interpret complex data, write effectively, and clearly communicate recommendations.

Advanced degree: PharmD, PhD, with progressive experience in the biotech/pharmaceutical industry; oncology experience required.

5+ years of direct experience in Medical Information

Self-directed and motivated with the decisiveness and flexibility necessary to operate successfully in a complex, dynamic environment.

Proven track record of matrix teamwork, timely decision making, prioritization, and results oriented mindset in successfully achieving objectives.

Exhibits advanced knowledge of Medical Information work and processes, and the applicable industry guidance and regulations.

Proficiency in medical writing and medical content creation; able to correctly understand, interpret, and accurately communicate scientific data.

Experience conducting medical accuracy reviews for promotional and medical materials.
- Demonstrated strong verbal, written, and presentation skills.

Excellent interpersonal, and communications skills with attention to detail

20-30% domestic and international travel to attend congresses to represent AnHeart Medical Information

The pay range for this position is $180,000 to $220,000 per year, which may factor in various geographic regions. The base pay offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location among other factors. Our full-time regular positions also include an annual performance-based bonus and long-term incentive units (equity) provided as part of our compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, depending on the level and position offered.
