The Bridge is a multi-concept food court opening in June on the ground floor of the US Navy’s administrative building. Featuring the exceptional Hissho Sushi Restaurant, Which Wich Sandwiches, and Aquila Coffee, this dynamic space is set to welcome both Naval personnel and the general public. Not only that, but we will also be delivering our delicious sushi, sandwiches and baked goods to surrounding Naval facilities daily. Shift is 3am-11am.
The Route Service Representative is responsible for daily delivery of fresh Sushi, Sandwiches and desserts on a designated route. This includes, providing accurate and timely delivery of the product to customers, utilizing all available tools to reconcile delivery in compliance with specific retailer processes and merchandising product to maximize sales per establish customer planograms. A successful Route Service Representative will perform all duties in accordance with company policy, standards or established procedures. A commitment to safety, teamwork, a clean, professional appearance, customer-focused behaviors and a high energy level are critical to success in this role.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Comply with all safety and sanitation standards
- Establish relationship with appropriate receiving staff at each account
- Promptly, professionally and appropriately address any customer complaints, concerns and inquiries
- Provide daily feedback to Supervisors on observations of product mix and inventory
- Maintain accurate inventory of orders and returns and inventory of carryover as required
- Load delivery vehicle with appropriate product counts and varieties for the daily delivery schedule
- Operate within established standards for timely and efficient delivery
- Secure proof of delivery per account requirements to allow for collection of account receivables (i.e. store stamps, POD documents, etc.)
- Load out of date product and empty racks and trays into vehicle for return to work site
- Track returns and dispose of out of date product according to company policy
- Utilize the Vehicle Inspection and Damage Report process to perform routine maintenance checks as required
- Keep company vehicle clean, NO SMOKING
- Perform basic maintenance such as checking the oil
- Report any vehicle maintenance concerns promptly and directly to a supervisor
- Report all moving violations and accidents involving injury or property damage immediately
Requirements:
- Must meet driving standards (21 years of age and three-year clean driving)
- Pass a criminal background check and Motor Vehicles Check
- Ability to drive and operate delivery vehicle safely for considerable amounts of time in various environmental conditions
- Ability to read and write
- Strong interpersonal skills
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Previous Route Delivery experience and job stability

- Using hand-trucks or carts to push/pull products, often on ramps/lift gates
- Considerable amounts of driving, approximately 3-6 hours per day, typically in a refrigerated van with automatic transmission
- Involves working weekends
- Lifting, sliding and positioning Dock plates and truck ramps
- Manual product handling to include staging, stacking and organizing individual product items, product carts and trays
