Have you been in the trades and want to get back to farm life?
We are seeking a dedicated Farmer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for various farming duties, including ranching, construction, equipment operation and maintenance, animal husbandry for all livestock.
Animal husbandry will be the first priority of the position:
-Bedding
-Feeding
-Clean water, no leaking water
-Moving livestock to new paddocks daily
-Observing for animal health
-Brush hogging
-Weed wacking
The other part of the position revolves around building and maintenance. Must be proficient at fixing and maintaining everything on the farm from
-Mechanics - Tractors, Skid Steer, Trucks, Small Machines
- Plumbing
- Electrical
- Construction
For instance, some projects you would be doing on the farm this summer would include:
-Installing permanent fencing
-Installing concrete pads and feed bins
-Interior construction work on pole barn
-Establishing new paddocks for cows - clearing brush, setting up electric fencing
-Fence painting
-Harvesting planks from old barn
We are looking for someone who has the experience to be able to go out and have the stamina to care for livestock, fix, build, maintain and be responsible and accountable and honest for their work, be able to show up ready to push the bar up daily.
Shifts are somewhat flexible
6 hrs/day
6 days per week
