CME Associates is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join our team in Parlin, New Jersey. The ideal candidate will have a 2-4 years of experience in electrical design, with expertise in redundant power systems and design at 208V and 480V. As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the design and implementation of electrical systems for a variety of projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client requirements.
- Electrical System Design: Develop detailed electrical designs for various projects, including power distribution systems, lighting systems, grounding systems, and control systems. Ensure designs are efficient, safe, and comply with relevant codes and regulations.
- Redundant Power Systems: Design and implement redundant power systems to ensure uninterrupted power supply for critical infrastructure. Analyze power requirements, conduct load calculations, and select appropriate equipment for redundancy.
- Project Coordination: Collaborate with architects, clients, and other engineering disciplines to coordinate electrical design activities and ensure seamless integration with overall project requirements. Participate in project meetings and provide technical expertise.
- Technical Documentation: Prepare comprehensive technical specifications, drawings, and reports detailing electrical design solutions. Ensure accuracy and clarity of documentation, adhering to company standards and client specifications.
- Quality Control: Conduct thorough reviews and inspections of electrical designs to verify compliance with specifications, standards, and best practices. Identify and resolve design issues, providing innovative and cost-effective solutions.

Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. Professional licensure (PE) is preferred but not required.
- Experience: 2-4 years of experience in electrical design, preferably in a consulting or engineering firm. Demonstrated experience with redundant power systems and design at 208V and 480V is essential.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of electrical design principles, codes, and standards, including NEC, IEEE, and NEMA. Proficiency in using design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or similar tools.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to analyze complex electrical problems, identify potential issues, and develop innovative solutions. Strong troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve electrical design challenges.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with clients, project teams, and stakeholders. Ability to present technical information in a clear and concise manner.
