Specific Duties:
- Plan and implement instruction using the Creative Curriculum, Florida State Standards and Assessment Data
- Establish an enriching, safe, and clean classroom and playground environment.
- Demonstrate effective age appropriate class management.
- Student recordkeeping (attendance, grades, progress reports, portfolios, etc.)
- Create purposeful lesson plans using the Creative Curriculum & State standards
- Familiarity with the STAR Assessments
- Ability to use sound judgment and tact when dealing with children and parents.
Requirements
- Bachelors Degree or 2+ years as a private school teacher
- 45 hours of HRS mandated course within a year of employment
- Physical Exam
- VECHS and DCF level 2 background screening (required)
- Ability to perform job as teacher of small children and assure safety.
- Willingness to continually increase knowledge in the field.
- Demonstrates the following qualities: self motivation, self direction, as well as, creative, reliable, and professional.
- Speak & write fluently in English

- Maintain an open line of communication with parents and provide information when necessary.
- Assess students’ performance to ensure they are mastering age-appropriate skills.
- Monitor children’s interactions, and nurture cooperation, learning, and sharing.
- Cooperate with administration and staff.
