Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Develop product assortment and merchandise point of view, ensuring that the collection is compelling, commercially viable, and supports overall business objectives.

Ensure timely delivery of the merchandise through consistent communication, follow-up with the vendor, and planning.

In collaboration with planning, drive seasonal strategies and financial plans; ensure the success of the category by meeting sales, gross margin, and inventory goals.

Collect, review, and analyze financial data, ensuring accuracy for strategic decisions.

Analyze class and vendor performance, identifying product opportunities, trends, and offerings that will impact the business and provide results.

Ensure proper receipt flow by monitoring the receipt of goods and tracking orders.

Optimize buying by store in order to maximize opportunities by market and follow up with appropriate allocation.
Qualifications:

High School Diploma required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

Excellent interpersonal communication skills.

Must have strong retail math skills.

Analyze a problem skillfully, formulate a logical rationale for the decision and take action.

High level of attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.

Ability to prioritize tasks, while multi-tasking in a fast paced environment.

Strong presentation, listening, written, and oral communication skills.

Proficient in Microsoft Office and computer skills.

3-4 years of buying experience required; preferably in a luxury, retail environment.
