Overview:
Virginia State University, Department of Art and Design, is seeking an Adjunct Professor for the Spring 2024 semester who can contribute to the academic success of our students. We are seeking passionate educators to inspire and guide students in their learning journey.
Responsibilities:
- Mentoring: Provide guidance and support to students in their academic pursuits.
- Learning Technology: Utilize various educational technologies to enhance the learning experience.
- Classroom Management: Create a positive and engaging classroom environment conducive to learning.
- Higher Education Teaching: Deliver high-quality instruction at the post-secondary level.
- Lesson Planning: Develop effective lesson plans that align with course objectives.
- Experience Working with Students: Interact with students in a professional and supportive manner.
- Educate: Deliver course content effectively, ensuring student comprehension.
- Curriculum Development: Contribute to the development and improvement of academic programs.
Requirements:
- A master's degree (MFA - Studio Art)
- Prior teaching experience in higher education preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and students.
- Passion for teaching and fostering student success.
