Our team partner closely with UCSF Campus Departments and the Health System, HR Talent Management and People Wellness, and the Office of Faculty and Academic Affairs (VPAA) to assist and deliver a comprehensive array of HR services designed to attract, develop, and retain diverse workforce talent.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide detailed telephonic guidance to employees, supervisors, and managers on HR-related questions, including compensation programs, union contracts, and personnel policies.

Apply professional HR concepts when counseling employees on work-related issues of moderate scope and complexity.

Maintain answer rate metrics and escalate issues to Customer Experience Supervisor and other HR leaders as necessary.

Review and process HR requests, such as leave requests and new employee onboarding requests, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.

Coordinate visa/immigration processes with UC International Scholars Office and candidates.

Assist Staff and Academic Generalists with HR tasks and other related duties as assigned.

Support new hires, employees, and department managers on HR transactions, payroll, benefits, and employee apparel program inquiries.

Partner closely with various HR subunits, including Talent Acquisition, Compensation, Benefits and Leave Management, and Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS), to troubleshoot issues and ensure completion of all new hire documentation within HR systems.

Develop knowledge based on current metrics to assist in building knowledge content for future use.

Develop templates to assist customers more efficiently and effectively.

Provide advice and counsel to client groups according to established HR policies and procedures.

Manage sensitive and confidential information and effectively interact with client groups and stakeholders.
The hourly compensation range for this role is
$29.31 - $62.55. An offer will take into consideration the experience of the final candidate, position requirements, AND the current salary level of individuals working at UCSF in a similar role.
For roles covered by a bargaining unit agreement, there will be specific rules about where a new hire would be placed on the range.
