We are looking for a qualified X-ray tech to fill our part time/ per diem roll, specifically needed in our Sewell location every Monday evening 3pm-9pm.
Sprains, Strains and Fractures is an orthopedic surgery practice open weeknights and weekends. This allows maximum convenience for our patients and maximum flexibility for our staff. We have a strong, supportive culture and are looking to add to our team!
We have two locations: Cherry Hill and Sewell NJ. We are looking for an experienced X-Ray technician for our Sewell location, the ability to travel to both of our locations if needed is preferred.
Our x ray techs are responsible for performing radiologic exams, following established procedures for patient care and safety. She or he performs all the duties related to proper film identification, storage, and reporting functions. When not actively taking x-rays, the ideal candidate may be asked to perform basic clinical and/or administrative duties to assist the physician or front desk.
Primary Duties:
- Assisting the provider on duty with patient care as required
- Preforming all duties related to x-ray
- Maintains Licensing an CME credits
- Preps patients for radiologic procedures and takes x rays following established procedures for patient care and safety
- Obtains x rays in a timely, efficient and professional manner
- Uses a variety of radiation protection and shielding material
- Responsible for operating and maintaining all related medical equipment
- Logging x ray procedures and charges into our EHR, eClinical
- Updating patient’s medical records and assisting physicians when necessary
- Assisting with patient fitting of durable medical equipment (DME)
- Prepares exam rooms for patients prior to their appointment
- When actively not taking x rays, performs basic clinical and administrative tasks
- Assisting the front desk, triaging phone calls and troubleshooting patient complaints
Qualifications and Skills:
- Minimum high school degree or equivalent
- ARRT Certification in Radiation Technology and NJ license required
- Basic computer knowledge
- Knowledge of X ray procedures and protocols
- Knowledge of anatomy and physiology necessary to perform X-Ray testing including body mechanics and movement
- Understanding of the concepts of universal precautions, HIPAA, and OSHA
- Team-player able to multi-task effectively
- Knowledge of radiology equipment including safety hazards common to radiology
- Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with staff, patients, and families.
