Job Summary:
Yarzin-Sella is seeking a detail-oriented candidate with a background in multistate payroll. The ideal candidate will and be responsible for processing payroll for over 120 employees, as well as managing accounts receivables functions
Responsibilities:
- Process accounts and incoming payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures
- Calculate and ensure proper employee and matching contributions for qualified and non-qualified retirement plans
- Verify personnel records, benefit deduction changes set up by Human Resources, and coordination of changes and modifications to the payroll system with a high level of accuracy
- Perform day-to-day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting, and recording accounts receivables' data and bank reconciliation
- Reconcile the accounts receivable ledger to ensure that all payments are accounted for and properly posted
- Establish monthly, quarterly and year-end accruals related to compensation and benefits
- Responsible for the weekly and bi-monthly multistate bi-weekly payroll process using Automatic Data Processing (ADP), including processing benefit reimbursements and deduction payments, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all relevant laws and regulations
- Verify discrepancies by and resolve vendor' billing issues
- Generate financial statements and reports detailing accounts receivable status
- Handle accounts receivable functions including invoice processing, vendor management, and payment disbursement.
- Maintain payroll information by collecting, calculating, and entering data.
- Ensure timely and accurate payment of wages, benefits, and deductions.
- Prepare and file necessary payroll tax returns and reports.
- Assist CFO and Corporate office with month-end closing activities and prepare necessary reports.
- Preparation of monthly financial reports for the USA region.
- Collaborate with Serbia team to reconcile accounts payable transactions and maintain accurate financial records.
- Responsible for invoice registration in the finance system for expenses related to operational activities (and maintaining in SharePoint).
- Communicate with employees and vendors regarding payroll and accounts receivable inquiries.
- Responsibilities related to payroll are 50%, accounting 30%, and budget 20% of the overall duties
- Maintains employee confidence and protects payroll operations by keeping information confidential
Principal Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or related work experience
- 5-7 years of work experience in accounting and payroll
- Working knowledge of accounting concepts and experience processing payroll
- Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, and prioritize tasks
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail required
- Strong proficiency in Excel is a must
- Good interpersonal skills, ability to interact with staff on all levels
- Ability to listen and integrate ideas from diverse groups of individuals, build and maintain respectful relationships, collaborate with others, and resolve conflicts constructively
- Working knowledge of Defined Contribution and Defined Benefits
- Experience with the ADP Workforce system preferred
- Knowledge of various federal and state employment laws and regulations preferred
- FPC, CPP, or other certification a plus
- Proof of eligibility to work in the United States
