ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Other duties may be assigned):
- Leading sourcing activities including identifying suppliers, evaluating their capabilities, and selecting the most suitable ones for the organization’s needs
- Responsible for quoting, purchase orders, managing lead times and deliveries of purchased components and assemblies to support proto-type builds, demo unit builds, and start of production
- Drive improvements by conducting cost analyses, negotiations, and implementing cost-effective strategies in conjunction with the team
- Ensure that suppliers meet quality standards and address any issues promptly with the team. Primary liaison between supplier and Helgesen
- Actively contribute to cross-functional teams, manage projects, and drive continuous improvement. Assist with new product introductions and supplier transitions
- Manage print packet and PPAP project plan with engineering
- Work with minimal technical supervision and supplemental engineering support, while responding efficiently to multiple program priorities
- Work closely with 3rd party suppliers in the development and improvement of products, processes and material specifications establish action plans to improve Quality and Delivery performance of suppliers
- Be part of an engineering team that directly supports and develops solutions for our global operations activities
Engineering Job Functions:
- Analyze customer requirements and prepare appropriate documents for all purchase materials
- Coordinate with vendors prices of products and recommend ways to reduce costs of components and finished products
- Drive value/cost improvement projects into implementation using internal cost analysis tools
- Manage communication with global sourcing team and identify standardized materials
- Manage drawings and technical information with engineering
- Ensure current projected costs are in place
- Manage PPAP/Pre-Production launch plan
- Ensure product quality in accordance with quality requirements
- Provide prompt engineering resolution and/or support when necessary
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Program management skills to drive Cost down
- Self-discipline, self-motivation
- Capable of manipulating and working in 3D models
- Understanding manufacturing practices associated in working with the models
- Capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- Requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering or three to five years related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience in Quality, Manufacturing and Supply Chain is preferred
- Experience using 3D modeling (CREO Preferred), ERP and spreadsheet tools
- 2nd language capabilities a plus but not required
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $90,000.00 - $135,000.00 per year
