RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
SUMMARY Assists the GM in directing all activities of the establishment by performing the following duties personally or through hourly employees.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Oversee and manage all areas of the restaurant and make final decisions on matters of importance.
- Adhere to company standards and service levels to increase sales
- Ensures all standards of operation are being adhered to at all times including but not limited to safety, sanitation, recipe guidelines, staff training procedures, personnel policies, and procedures.
- Conducts interviews, recommends hires, completes new hire paperwork for new staff, trains, disciplines, and recommends termination of the front of the house employees.
- Completes written and conducts oral hourly employee performance reviews for front-of-the-house employees (usually host and/or busser).
- Responsible for daily, weekly, monthly staff schedules.
- Responsible for ensuring that all financial (invoices, reporting) and personnel/payroll related administrative duties are completed accurately, on time and in accordance with company policies and procedures
- Maintain professional restaurant image, including restaurant cleanliness, proper uniforms, and appearance standards.
- Responsible for FOH labor and bevarage cost
- Assist, under the direction of the General Manager, with all necessary repair and maintenance projects.
- Work with hot, cold, and hazardous equipment as well as operates phones, computers, fax machines, copiers, and other office equipment.
- Completes supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policies and procedures, and all applicable laws.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as required or requested.
- Works as a team player; assumes a pleasant and helpful attitude toward guests, vendors, and fellow staff members to ensure guest satisfaction.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Manages all front-of-house hourly employees of the establishment. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policies and procedures, and all applicable laws.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Two years related hospitality experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES State law may require certifications to handle food and/or serve alcoholic beverages.
LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of guests or employees of the establishment.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
REASONING ABILITY Able to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Able to recognize, deal with, and resolve problems involving standardized situations.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Active Food Handlers Certification favorable
- Knowledge of kitchen and restaurant procedures is mandatory
- Have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in similar position
- Must be prepared to be hands-on

- Able to be organized, manage time wisely and work with little to no direct supervision
- Very high attention to detail
