Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Shipping and Receiving Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience and be familiar with various shipping and receiving processes.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and inspect incoming shipments according to established procedures, both written and verbal.
- Verify accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments
- Prepare packages for shipment, including labeling and packaging
- Maintain accurate inventory records
- Ensure all shipping and receiving areas are clean and organized
- Communicate with vendors regarding shipping and receiving information
- Perform all other related duties as assigned
- Works with Portal Specialist to prepare daily shipping orders
- Gathers all of the items that are to be shipped within a PO/Packing Slip
- Assists Portal Specialist in boxing, measuring and weighting the packages
- Assists in keeping track of all the cleaning parts being shipped, received and invoiced from cleaners/coaters
- Reports to CFO on invoices relating to cleaning/coating that are to be paid by the factory

- Maintain proper documentation and records using various paper forms and computer systems
- Follows and complies with all safety rules and regulations.
- Maintains individual work area/equipment in a neat, orderly manner.
- Detects and reports improper operations and unusual conditions to supervisor.
- Count items and audit for package/shipping damage.
- Maintain necessary records as required.
- Moves material as necessary in performance of duties.
- Perform other duties as directed
- Communicate with vendors regarding shipping and receiving information
- Perform all other related duties as assigned
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years of experience in shipping and receiving
- Basic computer skills
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Positive attitude a must
