Job Summary: The primary purpose of this role is to streamline our production process by coordinating and expediting the flow of materials and components within or between departments according to the production schedule. This role ensures that all resources needed for production are available, and at the right time to maintain efficiency in our heavy assembly operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following with other duties assigned as necessary:
- Supports area Leads and team members in execution of day-to-day production schedule.
- Collaborates with Materials and Assembly staff to locate and identify parts and supplies required for production orders.
- Facilitates and expedites remake and rework of missing and/or non-conforming materials and supplies.
- Verifies completeness of work order components required for assembly operations.
- Interface with the planning, materials, and purchasing departments to resolve and mitigate shortages and delays in assembly.
- Identify and report non-conforming material to quality department as needed, using proper company forms such as but not limited, MRR’s, scrap log forms, and ECR’s.
- Cleans and maintains work area (daily), material handling equipment and other tools/equipment.
- Works in a safe manner at all times, ensures that safety rules are followed without exception.
- Ensures that all work is done in accordance with and adheres to IEA’s ISO and Quality standards.

- Liaise and communicate with other departments to ensure an effective interface is maintained.

Physical Demands:
- Maximum lifting requirement (pounds): 100 (infrequently), 50 (occasionally), 25 (frequently).
- Maximum moving requirement (pounds): 300 with assistance.
- Maintaining physical condition necessary for the following: Frequent lifting, carrying, standing, sitting (operating forklift), walking, climbing, crouching, stooping, squatting, and twisting upper body.
- Working at heights off the ground up to: 20 feet.
- Vision requirements: Close, distance, and peripheral vision; depth perception.
Work Environment:
- Work location: Metal fabrication/assembly shop and indoor/outdoor storage areas.
- Exposure to: Fumes, airborne particles, toxic/caustic chemicals, moving mechanical parts/equipment including overhead cranes, sharp/heavy materials, inclement weather.
- Personal protective equipment requirement: Safety glasses, gloves and safety shoes.
Position Requirements:

- Ability to communicate and work with others.
- Ability to organize and direct work activities in a fast-paced, shop environment.
- Work independently, reviewed infrequently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage a wide variety of activities at the same time.
- Ability to read and understand job routings, shop drawings, and blueprints.
- Knowledge of occupational hazards and the ability to follow safe work practices.
- Good understanding of customer deliverables and the impact of failure/cost of poor quality.
- Some PC skills and experience of Microsoft Office Suite and ERP systems.
- Understanding of production costs to include waste, downtime, scrap, and re-work.
- Experiential: Minimum 2 years of material handling experience, preferably in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
- Education: Related technical training (high school or beyond) is desirable but not essential.
- Certificates, Licenses: Forklift operator certification. Valid WI Driver’s license.

Pay: From $24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
