Job Title: Physical Therapist Assistant
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will provide quality patient care under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist. This role involves working with patients across various settings such as outpatient clinics, acute care facilities, hospitals, and occupational health environments.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in implementing individualized treatment plans for patients under the guidance of a licensed physical therapist.
- Conduct therapeutic exercises and modalities to help patients regain mobility and manage pain.
- Educate patients and their families on exercises and techniques for at-home care.
- Document patient progress accurately and maintain up-to-date medical records.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Provide support in inpatient and outpatient settings, catering to a diverse patient population including geriatrics.
- Utilize knowledge of anatomy, medical terminology, and trigger point therapy to deliver effective treatments.
Qualifications:
- Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
- Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and colleagues.
- Experience in outpatient, acute care, or inpatient settings is preferred.
- Knowledge of geriatric care and occupational health practices is a plus.
