Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our team. As an Accounts Receivable Clerk, you will be responsible for managing and processing all aspects of accounts receivable, ensuring accurate and timely recording of financial transactions. This is a vital role within our organization, as you will play a key part in maintaining the financial health of the company.
Responsibilities:
-Creating and sending out estimates to adjuster
- Process and post customer and insurance provider payments accurately and in a timely manner
- Review and reconcile customer accounts to ensure accuracy
- Investigate and resolve any discrepancies or issues related to customer payments
- Generate invoices and statements for customers and insurance companies
- Monitor aging reports and follow up on past due accounts
- Communicate with customers regarding payment status and resolve any billing inquiries or disputes
- Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions
- Assist with month-end closing activities, including preparing reports and reconciling accounts
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure proper billing and collection procedures are followed
Experience:
- Previous experience in financial services or accounting roles is required.
-Must be proficient at Xactimate
- Knowledge of insurance billing is required.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to negotiate and resolve issues effectively
- Proficiency in using accounting software (e.g., Quicken) and MS Office applications (Word, Excel)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping
- Solid math skills for calculating balances, discounts, and interest rates
- Familiarity with restoration terminology is beneficial but not required
