Position Description
Virtual Group Exercise Instructors are responsible for teaching classes for a range of abilities and levels. Instructors are certified in specific formats including Pilates, Yoga, Zumba, and general group fitness. The instructor will serve as a resource to educate members on various aspects of fitness and wellness and are responsible in ensuring that safety of the members is not compromised. A group fitness instructor will act as a role model and resource for all patrons and staff.
Position Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare and instruct safe and effective group fitness classes
- Provide fun and motivational instruction that also includes the education of benefits in classes
- Create a welcoming class environment for all fitness levels and encourage participants
- Commitment to diversity and inclusion
Required Skills
- Proper knowledge on structure and leading a group fitness class
- Strong time management and communication skills
Required Qualifications
- Must have a current certification in a nationally recognized group fitness format
- Current CPR/AED and First Aid Certifications Required
Preferred Qualifications
- Flexible availability to teach throughout the day
- Passion to teach college students in a university setting
TYPICAL SHIFT LENGTH
- Classes range from 30 to 60 minutes
- Class lengths based on format and style of class

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.75 per hour
