Job Summary:
The Membership Director will provide collaborative leadership, strategic vision, and support to the ministries of St. Paul Baptist Church, with a focus on effective comprehensive membership growth, new member assimilation, membership tracking, and volunteer development. They will increase awareness about the church in our local communities to draw in visitors and prospective members by working closely with marketing team, greeting and outreach ministries.
Responsibilities:
- Enter and manage membership profiles in our church system
- Responsible for new member assimilation and graduation
- Work closely with our new members ministry (Connections) to ensure that assimilation is seamless
- Support our evangelism and outreach ministry
- Supports our congregational care ministry
- Manage all membership pathways and processes.
- Plan and oversee our vision meetings and quarterly membership fellowships
- Plan and manage the monthly birthday celebration
- Schedule the use of all church space
- Responsible for
- Execute all official membership communication for the church
- Track and respond to visitors and guests in a timely manner
- Posts membership contributions to individual accounts
- Receives and answers queries concerning members’ financial contributions
- Provides annual contribution statements to members for income tax purposes.
- Prepares weekly, monthly and yearly contribution reports as requested.
- Prepares individual contribution statements as requested.
- Prepares rosters, and membership reports when needed.
- Maintains accurate membership and group data in our church system
- Supports the Financial Administrator
- Assist in counting and preparing the weekly deposit
Qualifications:
- Must be a professing and practicing Christian.
- Demonstrated church ministry experience
- Must be a great listener with a warm and engaging personality
- Minimum of high school diploma but related degree is preferred.
- Significant experience related to data entry and database maintenance/management.
- Basic bookkeeping and/or general accounting functions knowledge and experience.
- HR experience is desired
- Event planning and experience is a huge plus
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Knowledge of, and the ability to use office automation software.
- Proficient in all applications in Microsoft Office Suite inclusive of Excel, Word, Outlook, and Power Point.
- Detail-oriented, flexible, and creative.
- Must be a self-starter with a strong work ethic
- Personal qualities of integrity, honesty, credibility, confidentiality, and commitment to the mission of the Church.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships. Must be an exceptional team player

Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
