Overview:
Generally, your job duties will entail all management functions necessary to ensure the profitable completion of commercial projects from bid solicitation to final collection. All decisions are to be made with integrity doing the right thing is the only choice
Responsibilities:
- Prepare complete, thorough and accurate estimates per plans and specifications with sensitivity to schedule, backlog and the abilities of the Company’s field employees.
- Respond to client’s questions and requests for revised quotes, negotiate all contract terms, scope and conditions.
-Obtain project contracts and have a second PM review it before you sign it
-Compile submittal packages and deliver to clients in a timely manner. Continue to communicate with client through the approval process to expedite approval and avoid project delays. Upon approval, issue releases to the appropriate vendors with clear delivery and performance expectations.
-Estimate and submit any change order requests issued by clients, negotiate as needed. Maintain communications with client to ensure that contract change orders are issued on a timely basis. Communicate with the VP of Operations to ensure proper completion of approved change orders.
Maintain orderly project files with change order, material, and correspondence information
Experience:
- · 4+ years of experience as Electrical Project Manager / Estimator in Commercial Construction
· Strong knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and regulations
· Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints
· Excellent communication skills
· Competent estimating software knowledge
· Organizational and time management skills
