Mission Statement:
The mission of the FBI is to protect the American People and uphold the Constitution of the United States.
Major Duties :

Coordinate and direct a team supporting the FBI’s external communications and engagement mission.

Manage daily media relations with the national and international press corporations.

Manage the dissemination of FBI public information through press releases and official statements.

Direct the production public affairs guidance, talking points, questions and answers and other material to help guide.

Provide expert guidance on public affairs policies, regulations, and statutes set by the FBI, DOJ and the IC, and ensure that all subordinates adhere to these in their work.

Coordinate messaging with external public affairs partners to include the White House, Department of Justice and other federal, state, and local agencies to include those in the intelligence community and law enforcement.

Provide on-site and remote assistance for major media events involving the FBI.

Coordinate and deliver advanced media relations training for executive management

Specialized Experience (SE):
GS-14: Applicant must possess at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level. SE is defined as follows:

Knowledge in researching and analyzing conflicting data and summarizing recommendations from various points of view to provide guidance to officials in a short amount of time.

Mastery of written and oral communication principles, methods, and interpersonal relations.

Ability to understand the news media, their needs, and develop a professional relationship that builds trust with news reporters, yet carefully provide information that does not endanger current investigations or agents.
