WHO WE ARE:
Blakesville Creamery was founded in 2020, right in the middle of the pandemic. We have a brand new 10,000 sq ft state-of-the-art cheesemaking facility where we are focused on making soft ripened goat cheeses from the milk of our 1200-head goat dairy, located on the same property as the creamery. We also make some sheep cheeses. As we are a newer business, we are looking for dynamic individuals who want to grow with our company and are flexible in their role and responsibilities.

You are someone who wants to dive head first into artisan cheesemaking, to grow and expand your knowledge of cheesemaking in tandem with growing our business. SCHEDULE, RESPONSIBILITIES, & SKILLS
We are looking to 1 full time employee or 2 part time employees.
The full time position requires 40 hours per week and include the following shifts:
- Sundays: 10am - 6:30pm
- Mondays: 10am - 6:30pm
- Tuesdays: 10am - 6:30pm
- Wednesdays: 10am - 6:30pm
- Thursdays: 10am - 6:30pm
The part time positions require 20-24 hours per week and include the following shifts:
- Part time position 1: Sundays - Thursdays 12pm - 4:30pm
- Part time position 2: Saturdays 8am-4:30pm, Sundays 10am-6:30pm, & Mondays 10am-6:30pm
Responsibilities:
- Cleaning and sanitizing all cheesemaking and cheese-care equipment
- Following established protocols for cheese quality and food safety
- Daily post-production work including: salting, brushing, washing, and turning cheeses
- Assist Head Cheesemaker with production of cheese
- Packaging of finished products
Skills required:
- Ability to complete work that is repetitive in nature
- Stamina to keep moving throughout the shift
- Detail & process oriented
- Ability to accurately complete record-retention and note-taking
- Ability to work on your feet for long stretches of time and to lift 50+ pounds
- Ability to work in both hot (75F) and cold environments (50-55F) for extended periods of time
- Ability to work individually and in a team setting
- Adherence to food safety and quality protocols
- Reliability - shows up to work on time and has excellent attendance
LOCATION:
- On site at Blakesville Creamery, located in Port Washington, WI
COMPENSATION
- $20/hour
- PTO & Sick Time & Some Holidays
