Spectrum Academy, a K-12 public charter school, serving students with high functioning autism is currently seeking a full-time Speech Language Pathologist for our North Salt Lake campus. The ideal candidate will be intrinsically motivated to provide the best therapy and support to students and staff members and will be an independent thinker who is team-oriented. The related services team at Spectrum Academy works closely with other faculty members to create a supportive educational environment for our students.
Duties include:
Evaluate students with suspected communication disorders
Provide treatment for speech sound disorders, language disorders, pragmatic deficits, and other communication disorders
Execute treatment plans in large and small groups using push-in and pull-out models
Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other team members
Write and maintain IEPs for students on caseload
Train and support teachers and staff relating to communication needs of students with autism
Participate in interdisciplinary team including occupational therapists, special education teachers, behavior specialists, etc.
Assist with other duties as required
Minimum Qualifications:
Masters Degree in Speech Language Pathology
Certificate of Clinical Competence
Licensed SLP in the state of Utah
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous pediatric experience
Experience with autism spectrum disorders and other intellectual disabilities

Pay: $66,022.00 - $103,189.00 per year
