Job Summary:
CAM Construction Co., Inc., a 62-year-old, privately owned Construction Management Company, is immediately looking for an experienced Project Superintendent to join our growing company in the Baltimore metro area. In this role, you will manage the day-to-day operations in the field for exciting and challenging projects ranging in size from $20M to $70M. CAM is recognized as a leader in the following product types: Education, Multi-Family, Historic Restoration/Adaptive Reuse, Civic, Faith-Based, and Non-Profit. The main duties of this position include coordinating efforts with subcontractors, maintaining quality assurance and quality control standards, and directing all CAM field personnel.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee project scheduling and budgeting to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
- Supervise construction teams to ensure high-quality workmanship and adherence to OSHA safety standards
- Manage project documentation using construction software such as Bluebeam and ProCore
- Review and interpret schematics and blueprints to ensure project plans are accurate and complete
- Collaborate with contractors and subcontractors to ensure project goals are met
- Maintain daily logs and field reports for the site's operations
- Coordinate materials and equipment delivery with vendors, suppliers, and subs.
- Monitor project progress and identify areas for improvement
- Ensure all project activities are carried out in compliance with contractual obligations and company policies
- Provide leadership and support to project teams
- Manage project finances and track expenses
- Ensure all projects are completed to the highest standard of quality and safety
Requirements:
- At least 5 years of experience in a Superintendent role for a mid-size to large General Contractor
- Able to lead all day-to-day operations for commercial projects ranging in size from $20M-$70M
- Strong knowledge of construction processes and OSHA safety standards
- Excellent time management, leadership, and communication skills
- Proficiency in construction software such as Bluebeam and ProCore
- Ability to coordinate multiple subcontractors as well as in-house carpenters and laborers.
- Ability to manage and motivate construction teams
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Detail oriented and able to follow directions thoroughly.
- Positive attitude and great interpersonal skills, along with the ability to communicate in a professional manner.
- Must be able to walk the job site on a daily basis.
- Must be able to lift objects up to 50 lbs.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $90,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
