Paraprofessional
The Academy for Global Citizenship seeks a Paraprofessional to work in cohort with the classroom teacher to provide targeted instruction as outlined in the IEP of a Diverse Learner student. This position is ideal for a passionate educator seeking a collaborative, innovative and open environment for whole-student learning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized support for students in grades K&1
- Collaborate with classroom teacher and diverse learners teacher on a daily basis
- Facilitate daily classroom routines and procedures
- Maintain up-to-date documentation
- Facilitate high quality engagement during independent work times for all students
- Assist with recess and lunch duties
- Support classroom teacher with tasks as needed
- Work with International Baccalaureate Program so that collaborative learning with teachers enhances the achievement and learning environment of all students while maintaining the Learner Profile of the IBO

Preferred Skills and Experience:
- At least 2 years of elementary school work experience
- Bilingual English/Spanish (required)
- Experience with diverse learner children
Education Requirements:
- Associate’s Degree in related field (minimum)
- Illinois State Paraprofessional certification
Compensation:
