ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Community Relations
- Develops and cultivates relationships on behalf of the casino with the community, non-profits, vendors, local business leaders, local media outlets, political leaders, and local organizations
- Promotes a positive image of the casino and attends community events as directed
- Serves as a liaison to the Rivers Gives Foundation Committee, coordinating all information for meetings and responding to requests from local businesses and institutions
- Manages casino’s relationship agreements with community organizations to ensure compliance with casino’s license commitments
- Plans, executes, tracks, and evaluates—and partners with department leaders to implement—Team Member community volunteer programs/hours and community-based team-building activities and supports HR initiatives/projects and team as needed.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree, in a related field or equivalent experience
- Knowledge of local community and surrounding areas including an understanding of key prevailing issues
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Effective public speaking skills a must
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
- Good computer skills, including all G-Suite applications
- Ability to communicate, build relationships, and achieve buy-in with all levels of an organization
- Ability to work flexible shifts and days of the week including holidays and consistent weekends
- Frequent walking, standing, bending, and twisting
- Ability to obtain and maintain all necessary licensing and successfully complete the pre-employment process
