Daicel Safety Systems Americas, Inc. is a global leader in precision engineered energetic devices. We're seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineering Technician II's to join our growing Manufacturing / Engineering team.
2nd shift-12 hours 5:30pm-6am

Sign-On Bonus
- Bonuses are only applicable to specific job types and shifts; additional terms and conditions may apply.
- First half of bonus amount will be paid following 90 days of continuous employment with second half paid at 180 days of continuous employment.
- Employee must be in good standing with the company at time of payment.
- Bonus payment applies to direct hire employees only (staffing agency conversions are excluded).

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Follow standard OSHA and company specific safety procedures and protocols
- Read and redline mechanical drawings; use power and hand mechanical tools and test equipment
- Replace both servo and stepper motors, diagnose motor drive systems
- Install and maintain equipment with circuits up to 480 volts; Install, repair, replace wiring including low voltage I/O, dedicated cable sets, and control panels; Interpret schematics for troubleshooting; Understand common industrial electrical components
- Troubleshoot automation systems including electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, vacuum, VFD, and hydraulic
- Use CMMS system to record and investigate maintenance history
- Understand and create instructions including preventive maintenance and operating procedures
- Monitor and correct equipment faults in real-time to ensure high production performance; troubleshoot automation systems
- Perform preventative and breakdown maintenance and inspection activities
- Uses the PLC to diagnosis and troubleshoot electronic devices
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Minimum educational requirements includes a technical degree or certificate. Minimum experience includes 3 years manufacturing experience preferably in a high-volume, applicable industry. Working knowledge of PLC’s inputs and outputs, pneumatic adjustments, common engineering testing procedures (DOE’s, PFMEA’s, etc.), engineering documentation and reports.
