REPORTING TO: Supply Chain and Inventory Control Manager
GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
The Supply Chain Specialist is pivotal in managing material planning and procurement activities to meet the company’s operational needs. This role involves sourcing and procuring goods and services that align with quality and quantity expectations for the company. This role also works closely with the leadership team by supporting the continuous improvement of operational quality, efficiency, and profitability.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
· Collaborate with the Supply Chain and Inventory Control Manager to enhance supply chain processes, including material planning, warehousing, shipping, and receiving to meet both forecasted production and customer needs
· Ensure timely fulfillment of sales orders by managing inventory and delivery schedules
· Order materials and manage inventory to support production and customer demands
· Coordinate sourcing and procurement activities to adapt to fluctuating product demands
· Coordinate with R&D and Engineering for the procurement of parts and materials needed for product development and custom engineering projects
· Manage external processing services and address quality control issues promptly
· Oversee the quality inspection of incoming parts from external vendors
· Evaluates and negotiates supplier contracts and facilitates supplier development
· Maintain inventory control by identifying discrepancies and recommending corrective actions
· Assemble kits for the Assembly department
· Utilize and maintain the ERP system effectively, and assist with physical inventory counts and reconciliation
· Produce standard and ad hoc reports using SAP and Excel to support decision-making and supply chain optimization
· Deliver excellent customer service by responding promptly to inquiries from internal customers and vendors
· Perform additional duties as assigned
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:
· Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field, or 7-10 years of equivalent professional experience
· 3+ years of supply chain, logistics, or warehouse management experience
· Proficiency in MS Office Products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and with database management
· Working knowledge of MRP systems, SAP experience a plus
· Strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills
· Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively
· Detail-oriented with a strong business acumen and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
