Overview:
Trulife is seeking a qualified and dedicated Spanish- speaking supervisor of Direct Care Workers for our Autism Waiver Intensive Individual Support Services (IISS) Program in Maryland. The incumbent will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the provision of high-quality services to individuals with autism spectrum disorder and other developmental disabilities. In this crucial role you will lead a team providing high quality services to individuals with autism spectrum disorder and other developmental disabilities. You will ensure compliance with COMAR regulations and maintaining the highest standards of care.
Responsibilities:
- Provide supervision and guidance to direct care workers within the IISS program
- Oversee the implementation of individualized service plan for program participants.
- Conduct regular evaluations of direct care worker performance and provide constructive feedback.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including behavioral therapists, speech and language therapists, and educators.
- Ensure adherence to COMAR regulations, program guidelines, and best practices in the field.
- Facilitate training sessions for direct care workers related to autism spectrum disorder and developmental disabilities.
- Maintain accurate and up to date documentation of participant progress and program activities.
- Coordinate with external service providers and professionals to enhance the quality care.
- Qualifications:
- Hold a master’s or doctorate degree from an accredited university in Special Education or a related field and at least 5 years of experience providing training or consulting in autism spectrum or other developmental disabilities.
- The successful candidate must meet one of the following qualifications outlined in COMAR 10.09.56.06: Licensed Psychologist; certified special Educator; or Board- Certified Behavior Analyst.
- The supervisor will adhere to the requirements listed in COMAR 10.09.56.041 for contracted employees.
