Child Development Consortium of Los Angeles (CDCLA), a non-profit organization, is looking for a dedicated, skilled and caring teacher for our high-quality early education program. Required Education and Experience:
Assistants:18 years of age or High School Diploma/Equivalent
Teacher: minimum of 12 units in Early Childhood Education. Child Development Permit desirable but not required.
Fingerprint, Child Abuse Index, TB and Health Clearances.
First Aid and Pediatric CPR - within 30 days of hire
Required Knowledge and Abilities:
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with children, parents and staff.
Ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written communications.
Ability to be flexible
Responsible for:
Providing care and safety for children
Planning and implementing appropriate activities for children each day
Participating in the observation and evaluation of each child’s progress and complete developmental assessments, as required
Conducting biannual parent conferences for each child in primary group
Working cooperatively with staff members, CDCLA administration and parents
Maintaining written record of lesson plans
Actively participating in all trainings and staff meetings
Other responsibilities as assigned

Pay: $17.25 - $25.00 per hour
