This position requires troubleshooting, repairing and the maintenance of commercial/low pressure and high-pressure boilers and all related boiler equipment.
We are looking for a Gas and Oil Burner Service Technician that is responsible, trustworthy, has excellent customer service, written and communication skills. The position includes great benefits and a competitive salary.
This is a full-time position working for a heating company operating providing commercial heating service throughout the New York Metropolitan area to include Westchester County. The technician must be able to adjust and install various commercial temperature controls and devices and have knowledge of electrical circuits and troubleshooting, fire up and adjust burners for maximum efficiency.
Essential Functions:
· Candidates must have a minimum of 4 plus years with direct hands-on experience and working knowledge in troubleshooting steam, hot water boilers, burners (gas & oil combustion), associated control systems, electrical combustion, heat pumps and associated piping systems.
· At least 4 years experience with boiler manufactures including Clever-Brooks, Lochinvar, Hurst, Burnham, Triad, Fulton, etc.
· Proficiency in boiler/burner controls including Honeywell, Fireye, Siemens Link-ageless, Powerflame, etc.
· Troubleshoot & repair electrical wiring, relay logic, safety circuits, electronic boards for boilers and combustion failures
· Start-up & commission new replacement boiler systems including expansion tanks, pumps etc.
· Calibrate and adjust burner controls to obtain optimal boiler/burner performance.
· Substantial experience servicing and maintaining Gas and Oil Burners.
· Perform external/internal boiler inspections.
· Communicate effectively with job site personnel, custodians, super, project managers, property managers and co workers.
· Complete paperwork/documentation on all work performed (time, material used and recommendations.)
· Work safely and use safety equipment; be familiar with and adhere to EPA and OSHA policies
· Understanding of building automation system interaction with boiler operation & controls of equipment.
· Able to lift up to 50 pounds and climb 24-36 inch ladder/scaffold
· OSHA 30 Certification
· Valid and Clean Driver’s License
· Strong team player skills
· High School Diploma/GED
