Payroll Specialist
SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for the administration of the company’s time and attendance and payroll systems. The Payroll Administrator is responsible for the timely and accurate delivery of payroll and related client service, including recordkeeping and reporting.
· Process bi-weekly payroll and commissions for assigned region.
· Communicate with and assist employees via email, TEAMS, and phone.
· Ensure accuracy of payroll records by maintaining database with updates in status changes, tax withholdings, benefits deductions, time-off accruals, etc.
· Prepare required and ad hoc reports.
· Understanding of internal control concepts and processes to mitigate risks.
· Attend all company required meetings.
· Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
· Working knowledge of UKG, preferred.
· Minimum of 3-5 years of payroll processing experience for a multi-state employer.
· Knowledge of state and federal wage and tax laws and overtime requirements.
· Possess a sense of urgency to get things done.
· Ability to speak, read, write and comprehend English
· Excellent math skills
· Advanced Excel skills (Pivot tables, Formulas, VLOOKUPS, etc.)
· Must have excellent customer service and communication skills, both verbal and written.
· Ability to effectively communicate information to employees and management.
· Unquestionable integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality.
EDUCATION:
· High school diploma or equivalent
· CPP, a plus
