Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Paralegal to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of legal principles and be able to assist in a variety of legal tasks, including document review and estate planning. The Paralegal will work closely with attorneys and other legal staff to provide administrative and research support.
Responsibilities
- Conduct legal research and provide support in a variety of legal matters, including environmental law, patent law, and estate planning.
- Review and organize legal documents, including contracts, deeds, and wills.
- Assist in preparing legal documents, such as pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of case files, documents, and research.
- Utilize phone etiquette to communicate effectively with clients, attorneys, and other legal staff.
- Organize and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment, utilizing strong organizational skills.
- Assist in litigating cases, including preparing for trial and conducting legal research.
- Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
- Provide administrative support to attorneys, including scheduling appointments and managing calendars.
Experience
- 2+ years of experience as a Paralegal, with a focus on administrative and research tasks.
- Strong knowledge of legal principles, including environmental law and patent law.
- Experience with document review and estate planning.
- Excellent organizational and clerical skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal research software.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and phone etiquette skills.
- Ability to write clearly and concisely.
- Experience with litigation and preparing for trial.
- Familiarity with legal research methods and sources.
- Bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies or a related field.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $28.00 - $35.00 per hour
