As a Lead Teacher, you will play a crucial role in creating a nurturing and educational environment for our young learners.
**Responsibilities:**
- **Develop and Implement Lesson Plans:**
- Create engaging and developmentally appropriate lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of children.
- Utilize creative and interactive teaching methods to enhance the learning experience.
- **Assessment of Children's Needs and Development:**
- Conduct ongoing assessments to understand each child's unique needs, strengths, and areas for growth.
- Collaborate with fellow educators to tailor learning experiences based on individual developmental milestones.
- **Ensuring Safety and Well-being:**
- Maintain a safe and secure environment for all children in compliance with City and State licensing requirements.
- Implement safety protocols and emergency procedures effectively.
- **Effective Communication:**
- Communicate professionally and respectfully with parents, keeping them informed about their child's progress, activities, and any concerns.
- Collaborate with fellow staff to ensure cohesive communication within the team and promote a positive atmosphere.
- **Team Collaboration and Relationship Building:**
- Work effectively in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
- Build positive and supportive relationships with children, fellow staff, and parents to create a sense of community within the center.
- **Adherence to Licensing Requirements:**
- Ensure compliance with all City and State licensing requirements, including documentation and reporting.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
- Bachelor's degree (BA) in Early Childhood Education or an Associate’s degree.
- Experience with Teaching Strategies or similar early childhood education frameworks.
- Demonstrated passion for early childhood development and education.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
