Position Overview:
Under the direct supervision of the Maintenance Manager and Director of Maintenance, the Aquatics Maintenance Supervisor assists with the oversight of maintenance related inspections and operations. This includes the modification, repair, and refurbishment of equipment & facilities of a designated set of amusement rides or devices. The Aquatics Maintenance Supervisor will lead a team that completes preventative maintenance, testing rides, adjusting controls, diagnosing, and repairing system malfunctions for all water park attractions.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Monitor and prevent ride, device, or equipment problems by completing preventive maintenance
- Supervise maintenance staff and re-assign daily tasks and projects as needed
- Monitor and assist the maintenance team with repairing equipment problems. Water park rides & attractions or device serviceability will be verified using test rides, adjusting controls and systems, etc.
- Assist the maintenance team in building maintenance, etc. during both the park operating and rebuild seasons
- This position will act on behalf of the Maintenance Director or Maintenance Manager in that person’s absence to ensure efficient and timely completion of daily tasks
- Other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Manager and Maintenance Director
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years relevant maintenance experience, amusement park maintenance experience preferred
- Must be able to remain focused on the job while dealing with interruptions from guest contact
- Must be able to operate trade equipment and make repairs on the park following the company’s policies and procedures
- Must be willing and able to perform all other job duties and assignments as assigned by management
- Must be willing to work in a cross departmental position when needed
Working Conditions:
- Requires standing for long periods and walking long distances within the park
- Exposure to the variable outside and inside temperatures, including high heat and cold temperatures
- Exposure to high noise levels resulting from the rides and power equipment
- Must be able to carry, push, pull, lift, hold objects weighing up to 50 pounds
