Mile High STRTP Clinical Nurse
The STRTP Nurse is designated by the Short Term Residential Therapeutic Program (STRTP) to oversee medical needs and the management and administering of medication for all clients. STRTP Nurse participates in program design, periodic evaluation of program and health services provided, development of each client's Individual Mental Health Treatment Plan and referrals to appropriate community resources.
DUTIES
· Assisting in client admissions related to client medical assessment/needs, as needed
· Supervise and administer the dispensing of medications to clients.
· Train STRTP staff on Medication Dispensing, emergency situations and care procedures, as appropriate.
· Consult with physicians and pharmacists, as well as call in prescriptions to pharmacy.
· Supervise the control of communicable diseases and conduct infection control. meetings/trainings with clients and STRTP staff.
· Coordinate residents' medical, dental care and utilization of health services.
· Provides health screening education and counseling in the areas of disease prevention, health maintenance, and mental health.
· Communicating regularly with multi-disciplinary treatment team members and staff.
· Assess and monitor clients' physical and mental states of health and determine need for community based resources.
· Attendance and participation in client treatment planning meetings and in STRTP staff meetings.
· Document, report, and review residents’ progress, needs, medical issues, and behaviors in an efficient and timely manner, in compliance with all Federal, State, and County guidelines
· Communicate ongoing with parents, clients, STRTP staff, and personnel of agency.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing program; current ability to legally practice within the State of California
- Minimum one-year of professional nursing experience.
- Mental health background, and/or experience working with youth and adolescent population preferred.
- High proficiency with computers, programs (MS Office, email, clinical documentation).
- Excellent administrative, written and oral communications skills, organizational skills.
- At least 21 years or older.
- Clear Live Scan background check
- Current CPR/First Aid Certifications.
- Knowledge of Community Care Licensing and accreditation regulations.

· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: $80.00 per hour
