Cannon Country Senior Living is a premium senior living community located about two minutes away from downtown Cannon Falls. At Cannon Country, we take a different approach to senior living that affords our residents more comfort, independence, and choice in how they live and thrive through their senior years. Unlike other facilities, our facilities look and feel like real homes, in a residential neighborhood, but on the inside they are laid out as independent senior apartments joined by common areas for dining and socializing. And our residents greatly prefer living in their own “home with cares”, versus living in “a facility”. As a result, Cannon Country is growing and looking to expand our operations in Goodhue County, while delivering on our mission of providing the highest quality assisted living care option in the state.
We are looking for an experienced RN with a keen eye for detail and a penchant for follow-through to help us attain our mission and reach our next level of growth. The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated team player, with a warm bedside manner, assisted living experience, and a passion for improving the lives of Minnesota’s senior and disabled populations. Because we are growing quickly, we are looking for a team player with a can-do attitude to be an integral part of our team and company mission.
As our RN, your responsibilities will include:
- Perform resident evaluations to assess their physical and mental needs and develop a care plan that meets those needs
- Monitor residents for changes in their condition and coordinate responsive changes in their care plan and prescriptions with the resident’s team of doctors, therapists, and pharmacists.
- Perform medication setup and train PCA staff on how to properly administer medication
- Assess resident’s need for physical and occupational therapy, including mobility solutions, and coordinate delivery of these cares through third-party providers
- Ensure facility complies with state guidelines for assisted living, that all required documentation is created and maintained for each resident, and that evidence of our compliance is readily produced upon the arrival of an MDH survey team
- Answer care questions from PCA staff and respond to resident falls or health emergencies (very infrequent)
- Work with our facility director to oversee PCA staff and ensure quality and timely cares are delivered according to the care plan
