School Profile: Ross Park Elementary School
Ross Park Elementary School has a student body of roughly 480 students in Young 5’s through fifth grade. The PreK-5 staff of 25 teachers and 11 paraprofessionals, employ an innovative program including MTSS, differentiated instruction, and a focus on literacy around the 10 Essentials from the General Education Leadership Network. Ross Park is a unique elementary school in that it is also home to our special education programs, daycare, and Sailor Care program covering ages infant through Fifth Grade.
Community/School District:
Mona Shores Public Schools primarily serves students living in two cities; Roosevelt Park and Norton Shores. The geographic community offers an excellent quality of life, with residents enjoying the beaches, dunes, parks and water activities provided by Lake Michigan and Mona Lake. Situated between the cities of Muskegon on the north and Grand Haven on the south, Norton Shores is recognized as a most attractive community in which to live.
The school district itself is viewed as high achieving and progressive. Just under 3,900 students attend grades Pre K-12 in four elementary schools, one middle school and one high school. The staff and community are committed to academic excellence, and continuous improvement guides the district’s strategic planning process.
Education and Experience: Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership required. Minimum 5 years successful teaching and/or administrative experience.
