The General Manager will have a proven track record in managing operations within the medical device sector, with specific expertise in injection molding processes. This individual will oversee all aspects of manufacturing operations, employee relations, ensuring efficiency, quality, and compliance with regulatory standards at a facility in Mexicali, Mexico.
Key Responsibilities

·Develop and implement business plans, budgets, and strategies to meet company goals.
·Oversee day-to-day operations of the facility, including production scheduling, inventory management, and quality control. Ensure manufacturing processes comply with regulatory requirements (FDA, ISO, etc.)
·Build and mentor a high-performing team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.
·Develop talent within the organization and ensure succession planning.
·Maintain strong relationships with customers, understanding their needs and ensuring high levels of satisfaction.
·Work with sales and internal/external stakeholders to increase sales pipeline.
·Collaborate with internal departments (Sales, Quality, etc.) to support new product development efforts.
·Manage financial performance, including budgeting, cost control, and profitability analysis.
·Implement measures to optimize operational efficiency and reduce costs where possible.
·Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards and industry best practices.
·Drive a culture of quality and continuous improvement throughout the organization.
·Maintains knowledge of manufacturing equipment and machinery along with its capacity to meet production needs.
·Proactively identifies any potential barriers and approve and /or recommend solutions to the COO, CEO that improve quality, production schedule performance and cost reduction.
·Monitor and understand new technologies to improve quality and efficiency.
·Lead lean projects from inception to completion, applying principles such as Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen events, 5S, and visual management.
Education & Skills Required:
·Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Management, Business Administration, or related field required; M.B.A. preferred.
·Fluent in Spanish with strong verbal and written communication skills.
·Minimum of 8 years of leadership experience within the medical device industry.
·Proven experience with injection molding and manufacturing processes.
·Thermoforming experience preferred.
·Proven experience in implementing lean methodologies.
·Strong understanding of regulatory requirements (FDA, ISO) and quality management systems.
·Demonstrated ability to drive results, manage change, and lead cross-functional teams effectively.
·Lean, Six Sigma Blackbelt preferred.
·Proven strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
·Change management experience and proficiency in driving organizational change initiatives that align with private equity investment goals.
·Excellent organizational, communication, leadership and interpersonal skills.
Work Environment:
Office setting and manufacturing floor
Work Schedule:
Full-Time, Salaried.
Monday-Thursday: In-person at facility in Mexicali, Mexico.
Friday: Remote, working from home.
Occasional evenings and weekends as needed.
Travel:
Up to 20%. Not including potential commute to Mexicali facility.

Pay: $175,000.00 - $220,000.00 per year
