Material Handler/Batch Stager/cycle Counter - 2nd shift
Summary: The Material handler / Batch Stager/ Cycle Counter is responsible for providing production with all necessary materials to complete batch tickets. The position will be accountable for the achievement of the Key Performance Indicators that define the effective operation of the receiving processes in support of the business of Lucas in the Alsip Warehouse.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Stage batch tickets by priority on the production schedule

Return all goods from the Drop Zone to proper locations.

Pick and deliver all stock to production.

Pick and stage all materials for the batchers.

Verify we have necessary materials.
- Communicate when materials are low.

Responsible for daily cycle counts.

Wrap and relabel pallets when necessary.

Receive new stock and put away using the FIFO method.

Work closely with production to support their needs and keep them running efficiently.

Responsible for keeping the racks organized with like materials.

Responsible for good housekeeping to keep aisles free of debris and spills to ensure SAFETY.
Work Environment:
Duties require the individual to work in ambient temperature warehousing (heated during winter; no A/C in warmer months).
Physical Demands:
Duties require long periods of standing with frequent need to lift, bend or stoop.
Nominal lifting weight is 55 lbs but may exceed 200 lbs using various materials handling equipment including two-wheeled dollies, pallet truck, barrel truck, forklift, drum-dumper, etc.
Education/Experience:

Minimum High School Graduate or equivalent and 3-5 years of related work experience.

Basic arithmetic skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide)

Read, write, speak English.

3-5 years of experience with overseeing inventory
Hours of role: 2pm - 10:30pm (Mon-Fri) - occasional over-time
Certificates and Licenses:
- Forklift Certification Required, sit-down electric or propane or stand-up electric reach truck.

Certification for both a plus.
Hourly rate: $20/hour
