Position Overview: As a Lead Preschool Teacher, you'll play a crucial role in creating a nurturing environment where children can flourish. You'll ensure that our preschool programming meets the highest standards while supporting the overall functioning of our classroom.
Responsibilities:

Promote Equity and Inclusion: Foster equal opportunities for all children, prioritize the needs of our diverse community, and challenge cultural biases.

Primary Care Giving: Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of every child while building strong personal relationships.

Implement a Developmentally Appropriate Curriculum: Utilize Creative Curriculum for Infants and Toddlers, practicing reflective planning and assessment.

Provide Positive Guidance: Employ positive techniques to support children's behavior and emotional development.

Build Partnerships with Parents: Establish strategies to connect home and school learning, regularly sharing information and collaborating with parents.

Display Professionalism: Adhere to regulations, maintain respectful relations, uphold confidentiality, and demonstrate a positive attitude and punctuality.
Qualifications:

PERMIT REQUIRED: A California Child Development Permit at the Teacher level or higher is required.

Minimum of 24 Units in ECE or equivalent education/experience.

At least one year of experience working with children under five.

Proficient computer skills and strong communication.

Ability to read and write English (Spanish desirable).

Pediatric First Aid and CPR certification or willingness to obtain.

Clearance of background/criminal check and health assessments.
Preferred Qualifications:

Ability to work effectively with diverse parents.

Bilingual English/Spanish.

Knowledge of Head Start Performance Standards.
