A robotic process automation engineer position is available in a corporate manufacturing environment. This is a stable, full-time position. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing robotic process automation solutions to optimize operational efficiency.
The selected candidate will be a part of the production department with the following functions:
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Robotic and Automation Engineer is a "hands-on" position that plans, directs, and coordinates automation and robotic equipment and processes to achieve high production speeds while maintaining quality and safety.
The Automation Engineer is responsible for, set up, troubleshoot and/or revising automation processes and assisting the manufacturing operations in problem solving and continuous improvements. This position also mentors and provides training to other robotic and automation personnel and operators.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Startup, configures, tests, and debugs robots and robotic systems.
- Installs, programs, operates, calibrates, and maintains robotic systems.
- Ensures that robotic machines operate safely, dependably, and with precision
- Provides technical support and troubleshooting services for robotic systems, and communicate with tech support for complex problems or new projects.
- Recommends, develops, and implements improvements and modifications.
- Maintain and read manuals, electrical and mechanical drawings.
- Set standards and train automation personnel.
· Facilitate manufacturing safety, environmental, and ergonomics efforts.
· Carryout other tasks assigned by management.
REQUIREMENTS:
· Engineering degree required in any field. Automation, robotics, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering degree is preferred.
· Must have at least 5 years of practical work experience with robotics and automation for Injection Molding machinery.
· Self-starter must be able to work with little direction and with a high level of self-motivation.
· Ability to multitask, prioritize and strong time management.
· Strong leadership, interpersonal skills and team work.
· Demonstrate superior communication (written and verbal), teamwork, and organizational skills.
· Excellent computer skills, Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Experience with Servo Motors/Drives, Actuators, Pneumatic, and Electrical.
