We are excited to be adding a Senior Associate Attorney to our team. We are looking for someone who enjoys a challenge, embraces responsibility, desires to continue growing, loves to cultivate people, and genuinely cares for their clients. We are open to applicants who have previous experience in any of our three practice areas (Business Law, Real Estate Law, and Estate Planning), whether that experience was through transactional work or litigation.
Responsibilities
The following are possible responsibilities depending on the practice area(s) where the applicant best fits (based on past experience and interest):
Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, including partnership agreements, asset/stock purchase agreements, real estate purchase agreements, residential and commercial leases, easements, employment agreements, etc.;
Advise and assist with formation of for-profit and non-profit business entities;
Draft and review estate planning documents, including Wills, Revocable and Irrevocable Trusts, and advise clients regarding the estate planning tools that are appropriate for their situation;
Analyze and develop litigation strategy; Draft pleadings, discovery, motions, briefs, and other documents necessary for civil litigation, quiet title actions, probate, and guardianships; Carry out depositions; Represent clients at trial
The following responsibilities will apply regardless of the practice area on which the Senior Associate Attorney focuses:
Carry out legal research
Identify and develop opportunities for new business
Positively contribute to the Vision and Values of the firm
Mentor and cultivate more junior attorneys and law clerks
Manage Client Relationships
Assist in Development of Processes to Improve Client Service and Operational Efficiency
Qualifications
Licensed and in good standing to practice law in the state of Arkansas
Approximately 5 years experience practicing law in one or more of the firm's practice areas
Excellent legal writing and legal research skills
Skill and experience with client counseling and education
Strong interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence
Experience and skill with Microsoft Office programs
Comfort with technology and ability to quickly learn and adapt to various online platforms (such as Clio, OneDrive, ASDI Map Viewer, etc.)
