As a Quality Manager with AWC, you will be an integral part of our internal quality control team and will guide the organizational efforts towards overall superior quality. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of implementing quality assurance processes, managing quality control activities, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. Previous work history within the automation, manufacturing, or valve industry is necessary for this position. This role is critical to maintaining our reputation for superior quality and customer satisfaction.
How you’ll make an impact:
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality management systems (QMS) in compliance with ISO 9001 and other relevant standards
- Oversee all aspects of quality control (QC) and quality assurance (QA) processes, ensuring products meet or exceed customer expectations
- Lead and manage a team of quality inspectors and engineers, providing training, guidance, and performance evaluations
- Conduct regular internal audits and coordinate external audits to ensure ongoing compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements
- Analyze quality data, identify trends, and implement corrective and preventive actions to address quality issues and improve processes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, production, and supply chain, to resolve quality-related problems and drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Develop and implement supplier quality management programs to ensure the consistent quality of incoming materials and components
- Prepare quality performance reports for senior management, highlighting key metrics, challenges, and improvement opportunities
- Stay current with industry best practices, emerging trends, and regulatory changes, and incorporate relevant updates into the QMS
Skills you’ll need:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in quality management, preferably within the automation, manufacturing, or valve industry
- In-depth knowledge of ISO 9001 and other relevant quality standards and regulations
- Proven experience in quality auditing, root cause analysis, and implementing corrective and preventive actions
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
- Proficiency in quality management software and tools

- Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification
- Experience with Lean manufacturing principles and methodologies
