Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Patient Representative to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to patients, ensuring a positive experience during their visit.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and check-in patients upon arrival, ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed
- Schedule patient appointments and manage the appointment calendar efficiently
- Answer phone calls and address patient inquiries or concerns in a professional manner
- Verify patient insurance information and collect co-payments
- Maintain patient records and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Assist with billing inquiries and process payments
Experience:
- Proficient in handling patient interactions with empathy and professionalism
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Familiarity with medical terminology and procedures
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred
Skills:
- Ability to write press releases in a professional style
- Proficient in public relations practices
- Skilled in proofreading documents for accuracy
- Capable of public speaking engagements with confidence
- Knowledge of media relations strategies
- Experience in social media management for healthcare organizations
- Ability to edit written content effectively
- Background in journalism is a plus
