The Maintenance Tech position is responsible for all aspects of operating, maintaining and repairing various pieces of equipment at the manufacturing facility and reports directly to the Maintenance Manager. To be effective you must maintain cooperative and productive relationships with the work team and establish excellent maintenance practices to ensure optimal efficiency.
JOB REQUIREMENTS, SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience/Education Needed:
- High School or GED Equivalent. Additional technical trade school certification preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years plastics experience (blow molding experience preferred).
- Experience troubleshooting in a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of pneumatics, mechanical, electrical and hydraulic control systems.
- Must be willing to be a leader in a team environment.
- Additional electrical experience specific to programmable logic controllers and AC variable frequency drives along with other automated process systems is desirable.
- Must be a self-starter with excellent communication.
- Must maintain acceptable attendance and work records.
- Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for troubleshooting, maintenance and repair of equipment and systems using electrical, mechanical and processing skills.
- Perform corrective maintenance on machinery during production and minimize downtime during correction action.
- Perform all operator duties and details related to blow-molding.
- Demonstrates an in-depth specialty such as machining, welding, PLC instrumentation, or electrical.
- Perform setups of machines including molds changes and secondary equipment.
- Follow all safety rules and completed training in all safety requirements such as Lockout/Tag Out.
- Maintain clear effective communication with others in order to produce maximum results.
- Perform Robot maintenance and programming.
- Reduce changeover time.
- Effectively communicate equipment malfunction to the Maintenance Manager.
- Perform similar and related duties as assigned.
- Will need to be available to work weekends and on call hours (days or nights).

Pay: $18.00 - $28.00 per hour
