Job Summary
The semi-truck driver position is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a semi-truck to transport materials to the facility, customer, and/or the landfill.

- May plan route to insure the most economical use of time and equipment.
- Manage routes and routines so they proceed in the most efficient way possible.
- Find ways to conserve resources such as fuel.
- Conduct daily pre and post-trip inspections of the vehicle and report any problems or damage to the manager.
- Observe and report equipment or mechanical failures immediately.
- Interact courteously with customers and respond to requests: assist management in resolving customer issues or suggestions.
- Operate forklift or skid steer to load or unload the truck.
- Serve as a representative of the company, projecting a positive image to the public.
- Perform all duties in conformance to appropriate safety and security standards.
- Maintains and submits DOT timesheets or logs (if required) and inspection paperwork.
Required Education and Experience
- High school diploma or GED.
- 1 year of relevant experience, or any equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to do the job.
· Valid Class A CDL

- Acceptable driving record
- Legally eligible to work in the United States
- Successfully completed pre-employment DOT drug screen, physical, and motor vehicle record view
- Good customer services skills to meet and exceed customer expectations; acts in a professional, courteous, and cooperative manner toward customers and co-workers work with a sense of honesty and trustworthiness
- Good time management skills to ensure assigned responsibilities are completed in an efficient and safe manner
Physical Requirements

Required to use motor coordination with arm, hand, finger dexterity. Requires pushing, pulling, bending, twisting, and lifting Normal setting for this job is outdoors and/or driving a video/GPS monitored. Will be exposed to a physical environment, which involves dirt, odors, noise, weather extremes, or similar elements most of the workday.
