Responsibilities for the Role of Insurance Authorization Specialist include:
- Manage and submit all authorization requests to members’ insurance on behalf of Missing Piece providers
- Communicate with providers regarding authorization needs and requests
- Maintain precise documentation of each authorization process
- Verify authorization requirements with members’ insurance companies through phone calls and portals
- Ensure timely processing and submission of all authorization requests
Key Requirements/ Experience in an Ideal Candidate:
- Knowledge of and competency with HIPAA compliance
- Knowledge of accepted healthcare insurance practices
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Outlook and Excel
- Can conduct web-based research
- Strong customer service and communication skills, both written and oral
- Basic mathematical computing abilities

Pay: Up to $17.00 per hour
