We are currently seeking dedicated, quality-driven, Field Service Technicians who reside in New York. This is a hands on, on site, technician role with traveling expectations to Broome, Oneida, and Younkers areas. The ideal candidates are reliable and understand that consistency is important to providing the best customer service. Being task oriented and following standards of quality and accuracy to get the job done will bring you success in this position. Position Summary
As a Field Service Technician, you are responsible for troubleshooting, installing, repairing, and testing various electronic equipment and systems. This includes but not limited to variety of audio, video, and digital equipment such as digital video recorders, cameras, monitors, cellular routers, and antennas. This role requires 25% travel to customer locations and is a direct phone support by assisting in remote troubleshooting.
- Conducting on-site installations including training personnel on various mobile audio/visual, surveillance, and communications equipment
- Diagnose technical issues and implement solutions in a timely manner
- Conducting repairs, maintenance, and updates on electronic equipment
- Documents all services performed and tests all repairs to a documented standard
- Collaborate with internal teams to escalate and resolve complex technical issues
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong technical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent customer service and communication skills, both verbal and written
- Knowledge of digital theory and circuits
- Detail oriented with strong problem solving skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED, technical certification or degree preferred
- Valid Driver’s license
- 1 year of proven experience as a Field Service Technician or similar role
- Basic networking skills, understanding of TCP/IP, wireless and strong PC skills experience preferred
- Proficient with standard test equipment including digital multi-meters
- Ability to read and follow schematics
- Previous experience with equipment installations in a mobile environment preferred
