Wood is seeking Subject Matter Experts (SME) to join our Technical Consulting – Process & Chemicals (TC P&C) team for the Americas region in the following Areas of Expertise (AOE):
- Ammonia/Methanol
- Sustainable Aviation Fuel
- Refining Plant configuration (LP Modelling)
Wood’s dynamic and collaborative TC P&C team focuses on early phase evaluation for worldwide clients throughout the emerging and traditional energy space. Our TC P&C team leads Wood’s strategic initiative to acquire and execute projects in the Energy Transition, Hydrogen Economy, Decarbonization, and Conventional Fuels arena.
In this role, the SME will interact directly with clients to support their decision making in exciting new energy projects and fast paced investment opportunities. The SME is responsible for:
- Capturing Business in their AOE
- Provide expertise in:
- Due diligence reviews,
- New technology evaluations and selections,
- Feasibility and conceptual design,
- Debottlenecking, yield, and energy improvement assessments, and
- Pre-FEED studies.
- Attend Conferences and prepare Technical Papers
The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of emerging energy transition technologies in the areas of hydrogen, ammonia, methanol and carbon capture or a strong technical background in downstream, refining, and petrochemicals.
A successful candidate will be able to support several studies at the same time without missing milestones and enjoy constantly updating their technical skills by researching new technologies and presenting our novel results at industry forums.
