Nursing Assistant/ Patient Care Technician
Duties include providing routine patient care and providing services to assure that the highest degree of quality patient care can be maintained.
The Nursing Assistant / Patient Care Technician Training at the Energy Innovation Center Institute is a two week training program- Monday through Friday/ 8am -4pm. Participants are hired as temporary UPMC employees & paid for the training. Upon successful completion of the training, participants will be considered for a Full Time position at UPMC.
Training includes instruction in:
How to assist with activities of daily life
Instruction in patient hygiene and comfort
How to obtain and record blood glucose, weights, vital signs, I&O, specimen collections
Applicants must be at least 18 years old, have a high school diploma or GED, possess general computer skills, & pass a background check*.

Pay: From $16.85 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 37.5 per week
